Drone Lab + Open Projector

A Night of Collective Sound + Vision

Join us every 3rd Friday for an evening of improvised ambient music and live visuals. Everyone's welcome, whether you want to play, project, or just relax and listen.

What happens: Musicians and sound makers create evolving ambient soundscapes together using instruments, voice, or audio equipment. Visual artists and VJs share abstract videos and experimental imagery on screen. Think part performance, part meditation, part creative experiment. Each night is different depending on who participates.

How to join in:

  • Music: Open to everyone, anytime during the event. Bring your instrument or use ours.

  • Visuals: First-come, first-served slots (15-20 minutes each). Bring your laptop.

The vibe: There’s no setlist, no headliner, just a free-flowing mix of collaboration and exploration. You can participate or lounge in the cozy space and take it all in. Feel free to move between the main space, bar, or backyard art installation anytime.

No intermissions. Shoes off inside.

Can I bring an instrument?

Yes, or you can use ours. We have a piano, Rhodes, and various hand drums and percussion instruments.

If demand is high, we’ll do what we can to make sure everyone gets to play.

Is there a drone sound foundation to build on?

Yes, facilitator Bearded Twin will provide the base drone for the night.

How much time do I have for my video set?

We’ll have a sign-up sheet, each slot is 15-20 mins, depending on demand. If slots aren’t filled, you can do more than one.

Oddhaus Screening & Mixer: Alice-Heart

A gathering for cinephiles, creatives, and distributors, showcasing films fresh off the festival circuit

The third film in the series is Alice-Heart by Mike Macera and Lissa Carandang-Sweeney.

Set in black-and-white Philadelphia, an aimless college senior navigates shallow artists, genuine friendships, and homework.

Alice-Heart is an aimless college student residing in Philadelphia. She aspires to be a famous writer but drops out of school in her last semester of senior year on a whim. Immediately cut off from her disappointed Filipino mother and dumped by her studious boyfriend, she finds that she has to pay bills on her own for the first time. Distraught, she takes solace in her neighbor Tony, a self sufficient freelance photographer. Tony encourages her to pursue her passions and hold onto her friendships. With this in mind, Alice-Heart navigates the beginnings of adulthood and combats “adult baby” allegations along the way.

Schedule

7:00 PM Doors
7:30 PM Screening (95 mins)
Time to mingle after the screening.
There’s a bar with drinks and snacks.

Your Oddhaus Hosts

Francie Wendorf is a Texas-born, NYC-based film programmer, writer, and archival researcher with a passion for horror movie marathons and overly specific Letterboxd lists. She’s worked with institutions like the American Film Institute and the Academy Museum, and is currently finishing her MLIS in Archival Studies. Her favorite directors are Agnès Varda to David Cronenberg, and she remains convinced there’s a tasteful double feature program in there somewhere. Outside of the movie theatre and archives, Francie enjoys reading melodramatic Victorian novels with her two cats, Peep and Wemberly.

Movie taste: Hidden gems from the pre-code era starring subversive female leads, period pieces of both the romance and horror varieties (ideally both), and 90s cult-classic indies.

Kyle Andrews is a NYC-based director, writer, and producer, whose shorts and screenplays have picked up awards at festivals like SoHo and Screencraft. Originally from Northern California, he spent his college years and then some in New York, enjoyed a brief stint in Los Angeles, and then returning to the Big Apple (due to a preference for walkability and a lingering disillusionment with juice cleanses.) He’s currently in pre-production on his first feature, Odd Jobs, starring Jefferson White (Yellowstone) and Kelly Bishop (Gilmore Girls.)

Movie taste: Earnest John Hughes classics, ensemble dramas with a touch of surrealism (favorite Paul Thomas Anderson film: Magnolia), and the Iranian New Wave canon.

Mike Macera’s Director’s Statement

For college, I moved to Philadelphia and majored in film at Temple University. Coming from suburban South Jersey, I was always fascinated with city life. But once I got there, I found myself alone and aimless. I settled on wanting to be a writer, but I had no idea how to put myself out there. My education at Temple often frustrated me, especially during COVID when my classes went online. I felt as though my mom was pouring money into a half-assed education, and I hated my classes. I threatened to drop out more than once and almost did until I couldn't find a job, and fear set in. This is how most of my college experience was shaped—teetering on the edge of dropping out while being pulled back in by financial support and guilt to obtain a degree.

Our deal was that my mom would pay for my student housing as long as I was still in college. Alice-Heart emerged from this personal place. Stuck in a middle ground between feeling like an adult but not financing myself as one. In many ways, I wrote Alice-Heart to be me. But a much more headstrong version of myself— someone who could talk back to ridiculous teachers and openly complain about capitalism with no self-awareness of my privileges. Alice-Heart is meant to reflect this period of young adulthood for many liberal college students who move to cities. On the cusp of independence, recognizing talents, and learning how to cultivate them without the resources that have always been handed to you.

Lissa Carandang-Sweeney’s Lead Actor / Lead Producer’s Statement

Born and raised in the quiet suburbs of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, I grew up yearning to be in a city more dynamic and more diverse than the little life I knew. Upon moving to Philadelphia for college at the ripe age of 19, I found myself surrounded by insular, caucasian art scenes, reminiscent of social circles from my hometown- but this time, against a gritty, urban backdrop. In moving away from the suburbs, I grew to recognize and appreciate the diverse family I had all along- particularly from my brash but altruistic Filipino mother. It also helped me to acknowledge the triviality of most of my college-socialite concerns, and realize there was more to life than simply coasting by with good grades.

Juggling up to three jobs at a time to make rent and a majority of my tuition while in college, I can’t fully relate to Alice-Heart’s financial plight. However, I can relate to having a mother that provides endless support where she can, and offers invaluable life lessons shaped from a childhood abroad. As I grow older, I’ve come to appreciate how fortunate I am to have the loving security blanket that is my mom. I’ve also learned to laugh at the quarrels and sense of entitlement that occasionally define the experiences of mixed second-generation immigrants- Alice-Heart’s and my own included.

As a proud Filipino-American creative, I celebrate the opportunity to portray humble elements of FilAm culture and biracial existentialism in a way that doesn’t follow text-book melodramas. Working with and becoming close with Mike has been one of life’s greatest pleasures: the tongue-in-cheek laments of all privileged twenty-somethings he depicts in Alice-Heart is the perfect setting to explore this playground of identity expression that isn’t typically presented in film.

Alice-Heart is a coming-of-age love letter to the city of Philadelphia, ruminating on the unique concerns of obliviously privileged Gen-Z city transplants. With Alice-Heart, our entire team hopes to rekindle the liberated spirit of mumblecore filmmaking and encourage more young Gen Z artists to tell stories that are true to them, no matter how seemingly trivial or grand.

Zach Rineer

Zach has also had an extensive background producing, writing, and directing alongside Mike Macera on short films, including Nobody Left Behind (2022), which has amassed over 75k views online. Zach is excited to take his next steps as a producer into feature film territory with Alice-Heart.

Adam McAlonie

1st Assistant Director, Editor, Actor

Adam McAlonie was born and raised in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He attended Temple University for a year before leaving to dive head-first into the film industry. Since then, Adam has begun to work as a 1st and 2nd Assistant Director in New York and Philadelphia while continuing to pursue his personal goals of writing and directing. Adam's goal is to tell stories that he cares about and to reach audiences that can find a personal connection to his work.

Alice-Heart is a very special project for Adam. When Mike first showed him the script two winters ago, he fell in love with the whole idea of the piece. The snarky overconfidence of Alice-Heart. The warm support and kind ear of Tony. What’s not to like? Adam is so excited to see what this little script blossoms into.

Tony McCall

Producer, Actor

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Tony McCall is an independent filmmaker, screenwriter and occasional actor. His debut short film, First Time (2023) premiered at the Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival and Philly Film Showcase. Moreover, Tony strives to create stories about genuine human experiences and overcoming obstacles.

Nevertheless, Tony was initially drawn to the Alice-Heart project when Mike Macera showed him an early draft of the screenplay. He found the depiction of characters to be alluring, funny and quite relatable. Tony is excited to help produce this piece and see it come to life.

Alfred Giancarli

Producer, Sound Mixer

Alfred Giancarli has been an English teacher, photo editor, press photographer, assistant cameraman, DIT, cinema worker, and museum educator. With a Bachelors in Filmmaking from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Masters in Journalism from Universidad de Complutense de Madrid, Alfred returned to filmmaking after a long absence in 2014 with the short film My Wife Is no Longer with Us.

In 2015, he wrote and directed Don't Despair, a critically acclaimed indie horror darling which premiered at the Horror Hound Weekend Film Festival. In 2017, he wrote and directed the short Hope to Her Register. Weeknights, his newest feature film, premiered at the South Carolina Underground Film Festival, where it won Best Feature. As of recent, Alfred has produced the upcoming short film Gettysburg.

Will Bricca

Unit Production Manager, Actor

Will Bricca is a filmmaker from Westminster, MD based in New York City who earned a BFA in Directing at Temple University in 2022. As a Unit Production Manager he has overseen the productions of the forthcoming short films Nothing to Do But Ice Cream Sundays and The Sleepover. He cannot wait to be a part of Alice-Heart and its eminently talented team of lovely people. He thinks the movie will really turn out and hopes that you 'll like it!

Matt Connelly

Director of Photography, Colorist

Matt Connelly is a Philly based photographer and cinematographer, primarily working on music videos and narrative projects. His work always strives to be visually unique and expressive.

“What really drew me to Alice-Heart was Mike’s vision for the story. He tends to fall in a really grounded space, but still leaves room for levity and exploration from a visual sense.”

Voice Play

VoicePlay is a safe space to play with voice as a tool for healing and expression. Come explore your embodied expression in this joyful evening of somatic and vocal exploration and experimentation. We will play with vocal improvisation, relaxation of the body, deep listening, traditional somatic practices and connection with the inner sounds waiting to be expressed!

We begin with stretches and breathing exercises to relax the body and open the flow of expression. We then move to a playful voice exploration, creating a safe and brave space to play with voice and movement as tools for healing and expression as a group, including unpitched sounds as well as traditional singing warm-ups. We will explore and be silly with the curiosity of the inner child. The workshop concludes with a group voice and movement improvisation. You will not be asked to sing or perform alone in front of the group. Think free form dance with vocal expression as a central focus!

Bring a water bottle, wear clothes for movement and dance, and please arrive on time. The doors will close promptly and the workshop will begin at 7:15pm.

Love & Loneliness Between Worlds Messy Hearts Circle

About this circle

Messy Hearts Circle is a small, facilitated gathering for people navigating emotional life between cultures, expectations, and different versions of themselves.

This evening’s theme is Love & Loneliness Between Worlds. A space for anyone trying to make sense of closeness, longing, disconnection, tenderness, or solitude while moving between different worlds.

You might be single, partnered, divorced, dating, heartbroken, or uncertain. You might have people who love you and still feel strangely alone.

This is not therapy and not a place where anyone will analyze or fix you. It is a structured circle for reflection, listening, and connection.

Who this is for

This circle centers people connected in some way to Middle Eastern / SWANA cultures and diaspora, while also welcoming others who genuinely resonate with the themes and values of the space.

All genders, sexualities, and relationship statuses are welcome. The space is secular, queer-affirming, feminist, and anti-racist.

You do not need to be “good at sharing.” You can speak, stay brief, or simply listen.

What we’ll explore

We’ll reflect on love, loneliness, emotional closeness, and the contradictions of wanting connection.

Possible prompts may include:

  • Where does loneliness show up in your life right now?

  • What kind of love feels possible to you, and what feels difficult?

  • When do you feel most emotionally close to someone?

  • What do you long for but struggle to name?

Circle agreements

To help the space feel safe enough, we’ll keep to a few simple agreements:

  • Confidentiality: what is shared here stays here

  • Speak from “I”: share from your own experience

  • No fixing or unsolicited advice

  • Right to pass: you can always choose not to answer

  • Respect differences: we won’t all relate in the same way

Format

Over about 2 hours, we’ll move through a mix of:

  • a gentle arrival

  • guided prompts

  • simple communication exercises

  • structured sharing

  • a grounded close

The exact flow may change, but the intention stays the same: to slow down and make room for what feels true.

Logistical details

  • Date: Saturday, May 16

  • Location: Delight Factory, Brooklyn

  • Group size: small circle, usually 6–12 people

  • Duration: about 2 hours

  • What to bring: optional notebook, anything that helps you feel comfortable

What we’ll do together

Over about 2 hours, we’ll move through a mix of:

  • A gentle arrival and check-in to help everyone land in the space

  • A few guided prompts around identity, belonging, and living between worlds

  • Simple communication exercises to support how we listen and speak with each other

  • Time for structured sharing, where you can talk from your own experience if you’d like, and also time to simply listen

  • A brief closing so people can leave feeling grounded rather than raw or rushedThe exact flow may change, but the intentions stay the same:
slow down, notice what’s true for you right now, and be in a room where other people are doing the same.

Registration

To attend:

  1. Complete the registration form and make the payment after

  2. Wait for your confirmation email and participation agreement

Your spot is only confirmed after registration is complete and you receive the confirmation email.

Ego Free Jam

Ego Free Jam

A monthly improvisational sound journey for musicians and non-musicians alike, in a beautiful and cozy space.

WHAT HAPPENS?

Together we go on two journeys, each lasting about two hours, with emphasis placed on listening to and supporting each other. Dancing, stretching, and art making are welcome. Bring an instrument or use ours. There are no spectators, only creators. Allow for the magic to happen!

The opening ritual is an invitation to overcome our resistance to self-expression. Take a little risk and delight in knowing that it didn't kill you ;)

There is a bar area and loungey art installation for breaks and conversations.

WHEN & HOW?

  • 7:30 PM: Doors open, time to settle & mingle

  • 8:00 PM: Jam #1 begins

  • 10:00 PM: Jam #2 begins

This is a shoes-off event. Bring your cushy socks & Let loose.

$ by donation ($25 recommended, depending on your wealth, no one turned away)

WHAT’S THE INTENTION & VIBE?

The idea is to let go and allow ourselves to play.

There are no audiences at an Ego Free Jam. We're all participants, even when we're just quietly enjoying the groove. Jams include musicians and sound makers of all experience levels. They are safe spaces where we explore our creativity and where we strive to support others in their explorations.

The Delight Factory has four areas, the main area is for music making, the bar, back yard, and Vibe Check audiovisual environment are for conversations.

WHY ‘EGO FREE’?
The ego is the part of us that wants to keep us safe in the world. Often it shows up as fear and embarrassment and tries to make us NOT do something. It can also show up as an urge to draw attention to ourselves (“Mama, look!”). When we get the urge to "do it right” out of the way, we can play, improvise, take a little risk, mess up, see that it didn't kill us, and feel the delight in that piece of freedom.

DO I NEED TO BE A MUSICIAN?
Not at all. You can pick up an instrument and improvise, vocalize, move your body, make something, or just listen.

WHAT TO BRING?
You are encouraged to bring an instrument, dancing body, art supplies, favorite toy, whatever inspires you and is fun for you. Or come as you are. We have percussion instruments, a piano, synthesizers, guitars, mics, & more.

IS THIS A REOCCURRING EVENT?
Yes! It's every first Saturday of the month. We alternate between acoustic and electro-acoustic (acoustic on even months). Hear about future jams & other events through our newsletter or FB, IG, BS (@delightfactorynyc).

CAN I COME FOR PART OF IT?
Sure! Try and come before the jams start (8 & 10 PM) but you're welcome any time. Stay for however long or briefly you want!

THE SIX JAM GUIDELINES
- Explore & Play!
- No judgment of others (or yourself - if you’re able to).
- Claim space: Do a solo, stand out, be loud, and remember to stay connected and step back when it’s time for someone else to claim space.
- Listen to others.
- No spectators.
- Have fun!

THE INTENTION IS FOR IT TO BE
* Experimental / Exploratory
* Improvisational
* Spiritual
* Therapeutic
* Inclusive
* Playful
* Supportive
* Open

WHAT IT ISN'T
* A Performance
* A Singalong
* An Open Mic
* A Party
* Getting/Doing it Right

HEALTH SAFETY
COVID-19 is still here, as are other illnesses. Please be aware of the risks you take by attending our events.

Sarah Porter: The Buried Sun Opening Night

The Buried Sun Opening Night

We celebrate the opening of Sarah Porter’s second solo exhibition at Delight Factory with a reception and an audiovisual performance. Come join us!

The mixed-media works in The Buried Sun evoke both perpetual loss and volatile renewal. Figures taken from vintage sources are layered over collage and watercolor backgrounds; the phototransfer technique gives these figures a dangerous transparency, leaving them always on the edge of disappearance. At the same time, fine slivers of collage, cut from vintage magazines, come unmoored from the images that once contained them and are transformed into pure radiance: an immanent energy ready to burst forth and assume unpredictable forms.

An immersive experience with live music, visuals, and improvisation

USHAN is the audiovisual project of Brazilian multi-disciplinary artist Lorena Hollander, blending voice, synthesizers, guitar, koto, beats and experimental elements into immersive live performances that move between electronic, psychedelic and ritualistic atmospheres. Together with Snark, the evening will feature individual sets followed by an open improvisational section with invited guest musicians, creating a collaborative and spontaneous experience through sound and visuals.

About the Artists

USHAN is a musical project from São Paulo, Brazil, that combines voice, guitar, koto, synthesizers, live looping, and real-time sound processing. Blending organic and electronic elements, the performances unfold as immersive, evolving sonic landscapes shaped in the moment. With a strong dialogue between music and performance, USHAN creates a sensorial atmosphere that feels like a portal into other states and imagined worlds — fluid, atmospheric, and not easily defined. Alongside original material, the repertoire also engages in dialogue with Brazilian music, incorporating quotations and fragments from bossa nova and other traditions. Learn more.

Snark is a musician and visual artist who uses the tenor saxophone and abstracted video projection as a gateway to deep and untethered experiments in electronic manipulation, repetition, drone, and emotional frenzy. His catalogue of recordings tracks intimate partnerships with fellow adventure-seeking musicians, and takes shape in spacious long-form compositions and spontaneous free improvisation. Inspired by rāga, ceremonial icaros, new age warmth and chthonic dissonance, the music aims to bring lessons from the Other Side. Learn more.

Zé Nigro is a Brazilian musician, composer, producer, audio engineer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work bridges contemporary Brazilian music, funk, electronic, and Afro-Brazilian sounds through a balance of tradition and experimentation. Founder of Estúdio Navegantes in São Paulo since 2009, he has collaborated with artists such as Russo Passapusso, Anelis Assumpção, Curumin, João Donato, and Liniker. In 2024, he released his second solo album, Silêncio, through Nublu Records, featuring collaborations with Arthur Verocai. His career includes three Latin Grammy nominations, two wins for Best MPB Album, and recognition from APCA and the Multishow Awards. Alongside his work in music production, he is also active as an educator, developing workshops through Estúdio Navegantes, and creates projects spanning theater, dance, audiovisual arts, and international collaborations across Latin America, Europe, and the United States. CANCELED: Gender & Identity Between Worlds Messy Hearts Circle

This event has been CANCELED

About this circle

This is not about defining yourself correctly or arriving at one clean answer. It’s about noticing what gender and identity feel like when culture, family, language, body, safety, desire, and belonging do not always point in the same direction.

We’ll make space for the parts of identity that feel clear, fluid, hidden, protected, questioned, inherited, or newly claimed. We’ll reflect on where we feel most like ourselves, where we edit or defend ourselves, and what it can cost to be seen — or to stay unseen.

The goal isn’t to fix anything or arrive at answers. The goal is to speak gently, listen deeply, and leave feeling a little less alone and a little kinder to ourselves.

This is not therapy, not coaching, and not a place where anyone will analyze or attempt to fix you. It’s a small, facilitated group space for grounded reflection and gentle connection.

Who this is for

All religions, genders, sexualities, and relationship statuses are welcome. The circle is secular, queer-affirming, feminist, and anti-racist.

What we’ll do together

Over about 2 hours, we’ll move through a mix of:

  • Time for structured sharing, where you can talk from your own experience if you’d like, and also time to simply listen

  • A brief closing so people can leave feeling grounded rather than raw or rushedThe exact flow may change, but the intentions stay the same:
slow down, notice what’s true for you right now, and be in a room where other people are doing the same.

How we hold the space

At the start of the circle, we’ll agree to a few simple guidelines, including:

  • Confidentiality: stories stay in the room

  • Consent: you only share what feels okay for you

  • No fixing / no advice unless someone explicitly asks

  • Speak from “I” and let others have their own experienceYou’re always allowed to pass on a question or just listen.

- No spectators.
- Have fun!

* Improvisational

Voice Play

Voice Play

VoicePlay is a safe space to play with voice as a tool for healing and expression. Come explore your embodied expression in this cozy afternoon of somatic and vocal exploration and experimentation.

The doors will close promptly and the workshop will begin at 1:15pm.

This workshop will be filmed and photographed for promotional use. Please reach out to melaniecloss@gmail.com with any questions.

CANCELED: Guilt & Expectations Between Worlds · Messy Hearts Circle

CANCELED

About this circle

This evening is for anyone carrying the weight of expectation, obligation, or guilt while living between cultures, values, or ways of life.

Maybe you’ve disappointed your family, or fear that you will. Maybe you’re trying to choose yourself without betraying where you come from. Maybe guilt shows up around love, work, marriage, independence, money, or simply wanting a different kind of life.

This circle is a place to slow down and reflect on some of that with others who may also know what it feels like to carry both care and pressure at the same time.

  • A gentle arrival and check-in to help everyone land in the space

  • A few guided prompts around identity, belonging, and living between worlds

  • Simple communication exercises to support how we listen and speak with each other

  • Time for structured sharing, where you can talk from your own experience if you’d like, and also time to simply listen

  • A brief closing so people can leave feeling grounded rather than raw or rushedThe exact flow may change, but the intentions stay the same:
slow down, notice what’s true for you right now, and be in a room where other people are doing the same.

How registration works

  1. Fill out the registration form on the website here:
➤ Registration form

  2. Wait for your confirmation email
 with:

    • Your spot confirmation

    • The circle address and additional details

Siren Circle

A Spring Equinox Voice Ritual for Women and Femmes

Do you hear the call of the Siren within? She sings to you, you can’t resist her voice. You must follow, and in this Spring Equinox ritual of transformation, you will let your walls and masks be destroyed and drowned as you are reborn in your truest, primal, authentic voice.

Reclaim your voice as a tool for transformation.

Sing from the depths of your ocean.

Express your truest desires. Vocalize with eros in sisterhood.

Come explore your embodied expression in this evening of somatic and vocal exploration and experimentation. In this ceremony, we will play with vocal improvisation, relaxation of the body, deep listening, traditional somatic practices and connection with the inner sounds waiting to be expressed and so often repressed! As women and femmes*, our vocal expression will call in our intentions for the Spring Equinox, as we weave a shared altar and sacred song of prayer and power

Bring a water bottle, wear clothes for movement and dance, bring an object for the altar (that you will bring back home with you) and please arrive on time. You may also bring a journal, but not required. The doors will close promptly and the ritual will begin at 7:15pm.

You are welcome to bring snacks to share at the end.

*Femmes = female-identifying, nonbinary, gender-nonconforming, and anyone who wants to cultivate their inner feminine power

About Brain Candy & the Creators

Brain Candy is a meditative VR experience for wellness seekers and the psychedelically curious. It was developed by David Lobser, in partnership with scientific advisor Till Holzapfel. Brain Candy leverages the science of flicker light stimulation and its visuals are influenced by the taxonomy of hallucinatory forms described by early psychedelic pioneer Heinrich Klüver. It uses strobing imagery, similar to the Dreamachine, as well as binaural beats and haptic pulses. Each ‘candy’ represents a unique combination of audio-visual stimulation targeting specific mental states.

David Lobser is an innovative director and developer specializing in immersive digital media and therapeutic XR applications. He’s the founder of Light Clinic, a digital studio for interactive health and wellness media, and the artist collective Object Normal. Lobser leads complex digital projects from conception to delivery, with his unique blend of technical proficiency and artistic vision.

Thirdspace Collective is a design studio exploring the powerful ways our environments shape perception and influence how we feel, think, and show up in the world. Founded by Dina Bino, Thirdspace designs soulful spaces and immersive experiences that transport guests beyond the familiar. Dina’s work is rooted in nervous system focused design, crafting spaces that invite safety, curiosity, and a deeper sense of presence.

About the Director Manuel Arija

In Manuel’s career he has received more than 50 awards and has been selected for 300 festivals. 2020 sees the finishing of the post production of his first feature film: ULTRAinocencia. His film No Kissing (2014) was awarded 1st Prize in Shnit International Short Film Festival selected by Paul Haggis (Crash, In the Valley of Elah, Show Me a Hero), and it has won other awards and accolades from many other festivals. He directed and produced Little Appliances (2012) distributed by Filmin and Amazon Video. In 2010 he directed La Piñata and was the winner of Amacort Short Film Festival 2010(Rimini, Italy), he also received a Fulbright Scholarship for film directing at SVA NYC. In 2009 he debuted as a director with the 35mm short film MAVELA, selected by the Austin Fantastic Fest and continued with a successful run in festivals across USA and Canada.

Director’s Statement

For many years I was looking for the perfect story for my first feature film. I founded it accidentally in a theatre play called Ultrainocencia. It moved me. I identified with those characters who follow the call of their inquisitive minds, sacrificing everything and even if it means that in the immense majority of times that they achieve absolutely nothing. Nothing. A useless sacrifice for what you believe in. An irrational sacrifice that in the current society equates to a life of failure.

Nonetheless, those losers woke up in me the need to vindicate them. A sense of admiration was born, even jealousy for feeling loyal to their irrational motivations and to not stir away from them in the face of adversity. But also a deep sadness to know the lack of reward that awaits them.

All for nothing.

Ultrainocencia is a film about religion, the belief in the unknown and the inexplicable, but for me it also links with the search of any unattainable goal in music, literature, photography or any other form of art.Together with the original authors of the play we merged all our artistic experiences, our own miseries and those scarce moments that feel like great success.

There was a catharsis that transformed the original play into something completely new. Ultrainocencia starts as an impossible search: to prove the existence of God. It has been four years of hard work to see this film happen, and at times I’ve felt that the premise of the film, an unattainable goal, was now my own life.

Fortunately I wasn’t alone and that has helped me realize that even the biggest challenges can be conquered. Perhaps we can’t face the impossible, nor we can find the answers we’re looking for, but in the way I’m sure we can find answers to other questions, equally important, that we wouldn’t have asked ourselves any other way.

Voice Play

VoicePlay is a safe space to play with voice as a tool for healing and expression. Come explore your embodied expression in this cozy afternoon of somatic and vocal exploration and experimentation.

The doors will close promptly and the workshop will begin at 1:15pm.

Sensing Into the New Year

CANCELED

Due to the incoming storm we’re canceling this event to keep everyone safe.

Sound meditation | Aromatherapy | Art viewing | Somatic explorations | Bites & Elixirs

A nurturing, immersive journey with sound, art, scent, movement, and taste. The evening is designed to ground you, let you slow down, reconnect with your inner self, and release what no longer serves you, so you can start the year with a sense of fortitude and peace.

When the senses are soothed and the body feels safe, a new kind of awareness becomes available. You may notice more ease, more clarity, or simply more spaciousness inside. The evening gently shifts from sensory exploration into a field of deeper restoration, inviting reflection, emotional release, and maybe new intentions for the year ahead.

AROMATHERAPY

Breathe in the soft embrace of carefully chosen essential oils. Each scent is designed to soothe your nervous system, awaken memory, and melt lingering tension. Allow the aromatic field to welcome you fully into the space and gently prepare your body for what follows.

ART VIEWING

Wander through the evocative design of the Delight Factory, letting color, texture, and form stir something subtle inside. Artful surroundings have a way of shifting our inner tempo, inviting curiosity, openness, and moments of quiet contemplation before deeper journeys begin.

SOMATIC EXPLORATION

Guided through a series of gentle, intuitive movements, you’ll give your body the chance to unwind the emotional tension carried over from the past year. As you move, your nervous system softens, your breath deepens, and your inner space becomes clearer, helping you begin the year with renewed perspective.

SOUND MEDITATION

You’ll settle into a sea of sound created by gongs, bowls, and other overtone-rich instruments, entering a deeply soothing state that helps you reconnect with your inner self. The gentle power of the sound waves offers subtle vibrational “massages” to body and mind, supporting the release of what is no longer helpful – a soft, nurturing way to heal and return to a sense of peace.

FOOD & ELIXIRS

Landing gently back into your body, we will gather and savor a selection of nourishing bites paired with handcrafted elixirs. Each flavor offers a moment of grounding pleasure, supporting you as you integrate the evening’s experience.

THE ARTISTS

Sabine Feuilloley

Sabine's path has been anything but linear, marked by resilience, reinvention, and revelations—from Europe to New York, from the fashion world to healthcare.

During her career in fashion, she discovered traditional meditation, and later sound meditation—practices that became essential tools for balance and clarity in a fast-paced universe, and later inspired her to explore wellness with a deeper sense of presence.

Experiencing through meditation the profound connection between body and mind has deepened her belief in the power of adaptability and care, values she now shares through sound meditation.

In times of constant change, she sees it as a simple yet powerful technique for anyone to ground themselves, realign, and thrive.

Trained with experienced practitioners, she brings a grounded and professional approach to every session while keeping the practice accessible, transformative, and deeply restorative.

She thrives in spaces where quiet, restorative moments coexist with excitement and celebration of the richness of human cultures.

Together we go on two journeys, each lasting about two hours, with emphasis placed on listening to and supporting each other. Dancing, stretching, and art making are welcome. Bring an instrument or use ours. There are no spectators, only creators. Allow for the magic to happen!

- No judgment of others (or yourself - if you’re able to).

"One of the great pleasures of making music with others is when all musicians are in sync, aware of each other, listening to the separate streams of each instrument merging into a river of greater sound and meaning ...
A new field of consciousness is generated. It is a palpable experience"
