Flow State

  • Delight Factory 303 Saratoga Avenue Brooklyn, New York, 11233 United States (map)

A continuous sound experience and dance party

Remove your shoes and enter the Delight Factory portal into FLOW STATE. Mela, Bodhi, Guy Car, and Angu will play without stops accompanied by SNARK’s visuals, taking us on a 70 minute continuous journey from psychedelic ocean to alien dance party using singing bowls, voice, didgeridoo, electronic hardware, effects pedals, projections, and other magic.

The evening will start with a deep dive into a trippy ocean with Mela (Mela Closs), allowing us to drop into our bodies and a strange meditative state of flow with crystal singing bowls and ethereal voice. Bodhi (Bodi Dayal) will carry us forward with his didgeridoo into deep, earthy drones that meet intricate rhythms, percussive textures, and evolving soundscapes. Next, Guy Car’s hardware-driven music explores different flavors of intensity and stimulation as the beat brings us into a techno trance. Finally, Angu’s (Angad Singh) dark rhythms will unearth ambivalent instincts of power, eros, creating rhythmic noise at once human and alien. Dancing is encouraged, or just bliss out to the sounds on a cushion.

Immersive visuals by SNARK (Arrien Zinghini) will accompany the experience.

Artist Bios

Mela (Mela Closs, she/her) is a musician and facilitator creating playful experiences grounded in imagination and healing. Her performances explore themes of spirituality, oceanic worlds, connection, and sovereignty. (Siren Song, Hang Up The Moon, Be The Ocean. Ocean of Eros.) She explores ambient drone-heavy soundscapes and a mix of beautiful and ugly vocals in Zelenaya and solo music projects. She is a Voice Ritualist, using voice and ritual as a path towards healing and transformation. She loves creating community events that are grassroots, intimate, and joy-centered.

Angu (Angad Singh) explores the paradoxical relationship between beatific and brutal impulses, giving voice to the dark regions of the psyche. Through semi-improvisation, his electronic music navigates between intention and intuition, unearthing ambivalent instincts of power, eros, and trance. With roots in heavy music, his latest project utilizes synthesizer, drum machine, and effects pedals to create rhythmic noise at once human and alien.

Bodhi (Bodi Dayal) is a Brooklyn-based didgeridoo artist exploring the intersection of rhythm, breath, and sound. Drawing inspiration from traditional didgeridoo techniques and contemporary experimental music, his performances blend hypnotic rhythms, organic textures, and improvisation into an immersive sonic experience.

Guy Car (Guillaume Caron) is a French producer and DJ based in Brooklyn. His hardware-driven music explores different flavors of intensity and stimulation, shaped by the dance floor and years of contemplative practice. The journey began in Rouen with a teenager peeking into local DJs’ crates, and deepened in New York, where a long pull toward the psychedelic side of the music continuum led to parties such as The Bunker’s. He ran Sauvage, a techno party, and hosted Space in the Living Room, a series for the music DJs love but rarely get booked to play. His releases on his own imprint, Par Amour du Geste, span downtempo acid, IDM and slambient.

SNARK (visuals, Arrien Zinghini) Snark is a musician and visual artist working with live-manipulated moving image and projected light to augment environments into the landscape of dreams. His work has filled galleries, basements, forests, crypts, and cathedrals.
